Second on the team with a career-best 933 all-purpose yards, highlighted by 589 yards on kickoff returns… Ranked third in the AAC and seventh nationally in KOR yardage and was third in the conference and 13th nationally with a 26.7 average per return… Set a school record with a 100-yard kickoff return at UConn combined with a receiving TD vs. Charlotte and a rushing TD in the season finale vs. USF, Jackson became the first Owl to have a touchdown rushing, receiving, and by kick return since James Sykes in 1976… Set career highs for rushing (275) and receiving (69) as well… Rushed for a career-high 70 yards on six carries at Memphis, including a career-long carry of 45 yards… Completed his second career pass for a gain of 21 yards at Army… Saw action in a career-high 158 snaps on offense, including a career-high 26 at Tulane.
2023
Led the team and fourth in the AAC with a 23.12 average on 17 kickoff returns (398 yards)… Yardage total was the most by an Owl since Austin Walter had 491 yards (18 returns) in 2018… Broke off a 44-yard return vs. SMU, the longest by an Owl since Juma Otoviano’s 50-yarder on Oct. 23, 2021 at UAB… Totaled 114 yards on four kick returns vs. UConn, the highest single-game total by an Owl since Otoviano had 123 yards on five returns vs. Louisiana Tech in 2021… Carried the ball 10 times for 40 yards, including a pair of 11-yard runs which matched his career high… Caught six passes for 33 yards, including two for 13 yards at South Florida.
2022
Made an explosive debut in the Lending Tree Bowl and averaged 13.8 yards on five touches (15 yards rushing, 54 yards receiving)… Rushed for 11 yards after taking a direct snap for his first career play from scrimmage… Helped set up the Owls’ first field goal with a 20-yard reception from AJ Padgett and added an acrobatic 34-yard reception from Padgett in the fourth quarter.
North Crowley High School
Two-time Offensive MVP on District 3-6A for coach Courtney Allen at North Crowley and rushed for 1,104 yards and 14 TD while passing for 1,641 yards and 18 TDs as a senior… Led the Panthers to their first playoff appearance in 15 years and the first playoff win in 17 years as a junior… Also played baseball and was named the 3-6A Defensive Player of the Year as a junior while also hitting .321 with 32 steals… Academic All-State honorable mention.
