The mission of Rice University Athletics Compliance Services is to provide guidance to the entire Rice University community (students, faculty, staff and friends of athletes) on the rules, regulations and standards which ensure integrity and fair plan in all athletic matters. We also seek to protect the health and well-being of our student-athletes, and to help our student-athletes, our department of athletics and our institution achieve excellence within the high ethical standards set forth by the University. The actions of the Office of Compliance Services should reflect the principles established by Rice President Reginald DesRoches, as flowing from the word RICE: Responsibility, Integrity, Community and Excellence.

Overall, Rice University Athletics Compliance Services is committed to strictly upholding the guidelines and rules of the NCAA. Therefore, it is the goal of this office to educate all athletics personnel and individuals associated with the university and the department of athletics as to the activities and actions governed by the NCAA rules and regulations.
