Transferred to Rice after two seasons in the AAC at Temple. Threw for 2,710 yards while completing 272 of 439 passes for 17 touchdowns in his lone season on South Main… Completed 64.3% of his passes, second-best in school history… 272 completions rank third at Rice, 439 attempts are fourth, 2,701 passing yards rank fifth, 2,727 total offense yards stand seventh, and 17 touchdowns are tied for tenth… Ranked fourth in the AAC in attempts, completions, and passing yards per game (246.4), and total yards per game (247.5), fifth in passing yards and total yards, tied for sixth in TD passes…Closed his career at Rice by throwing for 430 yards (eighth best in school history) with three touchdowns vs. USF on Senior Day… Threw for 347 yards and two TDs and added his first career rushing TD vs. UTSA… Let the Owls on a 65-yard march in the last two minutes to win the game on an 18-yard TD pass to Matt Sykes with 04 left to give the Owls their first win over the Roadrunners in eight years.

Ranked 5th in the FBS averaging 307.6 passing yards per and 25.6 completions per game ranked… Started the season opener vs. Akron at quarterback… Rushed for a career-high in rushing yards (24) vs. Norfolk State ... Completed 42 of 65 passes for 472 yards and five touchdowns in the loss to UTSA… The 42 completions and 65 attempts were the most of any NCAA FBS player this season, while the completions mark tied for sixth on The American's single-game chart ... 65 passing attempts broke his own school record for most passing attempts in a single game ... Holds the Temple for most 400 yard passing games (3) in a career and also became the first player to accumulate multiple five-passing touchdown games (2) in program history ... Missed week 7-8 due to injury and then returned from injury vs. Navy to set a career-high in completion percentage (81.8) and topping 400 yards passing game in a second consecutive game…. The performance earned him a spot on the AAC Honor Roll… Tied P.J. American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year after throwing for 3,028 yards and 18 touchdowns on 268 completion… Completion total set a school record, while his passing yardage total ranked second at Temple… Joined P.J. Walker (2016) as the only Owls to throw for over 3,000 yards in a season… Made his collegiate debut in the home opener against Lafayette, completing 14 of 19 passes for 173 yards and throwing first career passing touchdowns, earning him his first career win ... First career start came vs. Rutgers and he topped 300 yards passing in a game for the first time, finishing with a career-high 344 yards… 344 yards were the 13th most thrown in school history and 2nd most by a true freshman (P.J. Walker had 382 yards vs. UCF in 2013) ... Sixth quarterback in Temple history to throw for 2,000 yards in a single season ... Broke multiple school records at Houston including the most passing yards (486), and completions (42) ... Performance against Houston helped to earn him the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll, then bettered those marks in addition to the passing TD record two weeks later vs. East Carolina… Completed 45 of 63 for 527 yards and five TDs vs. the Pirates to earn his second appearance on the AAC Honor Roll… 527 yards in the air were the most in a single game in the FBS in 2022.
