*The Owls return to Tudor Fieldhouse for their final home match of the regular season Saturday afternoon vs. the UTSA Roadrunners on Senior Day. Prior to the match the Owls will honor six seniors: Andi Bawcum, Chelsey Harris, Maddi Holman, Leah Mikesky, Meghan Patterson and Miranda Rogers.
Rice is 14-7 all-time against the Roadrunners but dropped their match against UTSA earlier this season on Oct. 23, 3-0.
*With one match remaining in the regular season the Owls are currently tied for fifth with Florida Atlantic in the C-USA standings.
*Rice is 11-3 this season at Tudor Fieldhouse and have won nine consecutive matches at home.
As of Nov. 7 the Owls ranked 79th in the RPI standings. WKU (17th) and UTSA (63rd) were the only teams higher in C-USA.
*This past weekend Chelsey Harris entered the top 10 in Rice history in career kills and now sits at 1,282 for her career.
*Rice freshman libero Lee Ann Cunningham had a stellar outing at Southern Miss last Sunday, accumulating a season-high 32 digs, which were the 10th-most in a single match by a Rice player in school history. It also marked the first time a Rice player posted 30 or more digs in a single match since Daniela Arenas accomplished the feat in a win over Houston Baptist on Sept. 13, 2013.
