News & Notes
*The Owls conclude the C-USA regular season this Saturday when they travel to San Antonio to face the UTSA Roadrunners at 12 p.m. Rice is currently in third place in the C-USA standings while the Roadrunners are fourth, a game back of the Owls. The two teams met less than a month ago with the Owls winning in five sets. Rice leads the all-time series, 16-7.

*Rice is coming off a 1-1 weekend at home in which they dropped a 3-0 decision to WKU, before defeating Southern Miss 3-1 on Senior Day. The Owls have won 15 of 18 overall and just clinched their fourth straight year of 20 or more wins.

*Rice has already established a single-season school record with eight, five-set victories. The Owls are 8-1 overall when going the distance. Eight of the Owls last 16 matches have gone the full five sets.

*The Owls are ranked No. 21 in the latest VolleyballMag.com Mid-Major rankings. WKU (No. 5) and North Texas (14) also represent C-USA in the poll.

*Rice leads C-USA in digs per set (16.75), team assists (1,368-14th in nation), team kills (1,450-12th in nation), team digs (1,843-20th in nation) and team total attacks (4,016-20th in nation). In addition the Owls rank second in blocks per set (2.51), opponents hitting percentage (.167), team attacks per set (36.51), and team total blocks (276.0).

*Sophomore libero Lee Ann Cunningham surpassed 1,000 career digs in just her second season. Cunningham is one of just six sophomores in the nation with 1,000 or more digs.

*Freshman outside hitter Nicole Lennon leads all Owls with 13 double-doubles and ranks first in C-USA in points (423.0) and total attacks (1,158). Lennon leads all freshmen in the nation in total attacks.

*During C-USA play, sophomore middle blocker Grace Morgan has been spectacular for the Owls. The Crowley, La. is fifth in the league in hitting percentage (.408), totaling 182 kills on 358 attacks. She also ranks first in league play in total blocks (78) and blocks per set (1.42).
