The Rice Owls volleyball squad (9-8, 4-1) hosts Tulane (4-12, 1-3) on Friday and Saturday. Both matches start at 7 p.m. inside Tudor Fieldhouse.

Saturday's soiree with Tulane is Rice's annual Dig Pink Match. Fans who wear a PINK-colored item of clothing receive a half-price ticket for admission to the Rice vs. Tulane match. PINK t-shirts will be available for purchase and a PINK Rice volleyball jersey will be given away as well. All proceeds benefit the Side-Out Foundation (www.side-out.org). The Side-Out Foundation is a support and advocacy organization dedicated to making a significant and identifiable difference in the lives of breast cancer patients and their families by supporting clinical trials, increasing compassionate support services and educating communities.

Dig Pink is the name of the Breast Cancer awareness rally that takes place in gyms all over the country during Breast Cancer awareness month in October. The goal for this initiative is to raise funds towards research and "living with cancer" organizations.
