Rice Athletics will kick off an exciting fall season of football, soccer and volleyball on Saturday, August 22 when the Owls host their first annual Fall Fan Fest at Rice Stadium from 6-8 p.m.
There is no admission charge for the inaugural fan gathering, which will feature season previews by head coaches David Bailiff, Nicky Adams and Genny Volpe as well as music, games and autographs with the members of their respective teams.
Fans will enter through Gate 4 of Rice Stadium beginning at 6:00 p.m. just in time to watch the final 30 minutes of football practice. After the Owls’ wrap up their work, fans will be welcomed on to the field to additional soccer, volleyball and football activities.
Houston area food trucks will be stationed on the East Concourse along with stations featuring face painting, inflatable games, carnival games. In addition, the Rice Bookstore’s merchandise stand will be open and stocked with a new line of official merchandise and Rice Owls promotional items.
West Lot 4 will be open for parking for the Fan Fest at no charge beginning at 5:30 p.m.
