HOUSTON- Rice's volleyball team defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 3-0 at Tudor Fieldhouse, the first match of Rice Invitational I and the home opener for the Owls. The victory extended Rice's home winning streak to six matches, dating back to September 2012.

"I was really proud of the team tonight," said Rice head coach Genny Volpe. "They came out real focused and playing real sharp defense."
