Madanay & Olson Named C-USA All-Academic
First Selection For Olson, Madanay Completes Cross Country/Track Double

Farrah Madanay and Heather Olson were named to the C-USA All-Academic Team for women's track and field. Madanay's selection completes a double for her, as she was selected to the the Cross Country All-Academic squad, while Olson receives her first All-Academic honor.
Farrah Madanay has a 4.03 GPA in Art History & Religious Studies. She was a C-USA All-Academic pick in cross country season, and recieved a Wagoner Scholarship, a study-abroad scholarship for Rice graduates and graduate students. She finished eighth at the SHSU Twilight in the 1500 m and finished 15th in the C-USA Outdoor Championship in the 10,000 m. She was named the 2013 Margie Sass Female Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Heather Olson has a 3.73 GPA in Philosophy, and received her first C-USA All-Academic honor. She competed in the NCAA Championships in the steeplechase, finishing 44th. She had three event wins in outdoor season, the 1500 m at the TSU Relays, the steeplechase at the SFA Alumni Meet, and her section of the steeplechase at the Mt. SAC Relays. She finished sixth in the steeplechase at the C-USA Outdoor Championship.
