Outdoor: Established herself as one of top female collegiate discus throwers in U.S. with win at WAC meet (179-2 for personal best), runner-up spot at NCAA regional (178-0) and fourth place at NCAA national (176-11)... She was the only Rice scorer at the national meet... Her WAC win followed two straight runner-up finishes in DT at the league meet... Also threw 42-8 in shot at Stephen F. Austin State and 160-1 in the hammer throw at WAC... Also at WAC meet placed eighth in HT and 11th in SP... Her other discus performances included fourth at Texas Relays (171-6), runner-up at LSU (175-4) and fifth at Drake Relays (174-11).
Indoor: Placed eighth in WAC meet in weight throw at 51-7.25 to help Owls to runner-up finish in team points... Top marks for season also included 39-5 in shot put at Hilton Memorial at Houston.
Outdoor: Placed second in the discus at WAC championships to help Rice to the team title... Had a career-best throw of 163-11 to win the Bayou Classic and qualify for the NCAA Midwest Region meet... Also finished seventh at the Bayou Classic in the hammer with a throw of 135-9... Had a career-best shot put heave of 37-10 at Sam Houston State.
Indoor: At the WAC championships, reached 37-5.75 in the shot put... Recorded best weight throw mark of 44-9.75 at the RunSport meet.
Outdoor: Helped the Owls to the WAC title with a silver medal in the discus... Threw 155-6 in El Paso to qualify for the NCAA regional meet... Finished in the top-20 at NCAA regional meet... Also competed in the shot put and hammer throw... Best shot put mark was 35-1.75 at the Houston Invitational... Top hammer throw mark was 96-10 at the WAC championships.
Indoor: Competed in the shot put and weight throw... Best shot put mark was 32-7.75 at the Houston Invitational... Also threw a season-high 34-5.75 in the weight throw at Houston.
2002 graduate of Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi... Four-year starter and letterwinner for coach John Woodard and the Tigers... Had top discus throw in the region... Owns the third-best discus throw in Texas Class 5A girls, according to Texas Track and Field News... Competed at the 2002 USA junior national meet in the discus.
