Cross Country - Placed 84th at the NCAA meet with a time of 21:26.3... 2007 All-Conference USA first team and NCAA South Central Region second team... Rice's top finisher in five meets, winning both the Rice and Texas A&M Invitationals... Top finisher of Rice's 2005 NCAA at-large qualifying team... 2004 NCAA Individual Qualifier... Had four top-10 overall finishes.
Outdoor: Placed 11th in the 10,00 at the NCAA national meet to earn All-America distinction... Won C-USA 10,000 and placed second in the 5000... Ninth in the NCAA regionals 5000... Season best of 16:44.44 in 5k came at Stanford on April 29... Also notched a lifetime best of 4:34.23 in the 1500 at the Rice Twilight on April 26.
Indoor: Finished 2nd in the 5000 and fifth in the 3000 at the C-USA championships... Indoor bests of 9:58.45 and 17:07.80.
Cross Country: Individual runner-up with a time of 17:34 at the C-USA championships as Owls missed team title by one point... 14th at NCAA Regionals... Twice named C-USA runner of the week... Won the Rice Invitational... Also won Islander Splash in Corpus Christi, leading Rice past Texas.
Outdoor: Placed 15th in 10,000 at NCAA championships in Sacramento... Also qualified for NCAA meet in 5,000 with a fifth-place finish at the regional meet... Broke 18-year-old school record in the 5k with her 16:28.87 at Stanford April 30... Moved to third on Rice all-time 10k list with a 33:59.96 at Mt. SAC Relays April 14... Won 5,000 at C-USA meet by almost eight seconds after finishing second in 10,000.
Indoor: Won 5000 and took second in 3000 with season-best 9:46.78 at C-USA... Provisional NCAA qualifier in 5000 with 16:40.22 at Notre Dame March 3.
Cross Country: Rice's top runner at NCAA regional and national meets as Owls advanced to national championship for first time since 1993... Placed fifth at C-USA (team's third runner), third at regional and 58th at national... Owls won league title and placed third at regional and 25th at national in team standings.
Outdoor: Earned WAC Freshman of the Year after winning league title in 10,000 in 35:34.41 and placing second in 5,000 in 16:51.10... Team finished second in Tulsa behind Louisiana Tech... Ran 16:41.31 at Mt. SAC Relays in 5,000 for NCAA regional qualifier... Placed eighth at regional (16:51.72) and ran 16:46.96 in first round at NCAA national meet, but failed to advance to final.
Indoor: Helped Rice to runner-up finish at WAC meet by placing third in 3,000 and fourth in 5,000.
Cross Country: First Rice freshman to qualify for the NCAA cross country championship... Took first-team all-WAC honors with a fifth-place finish at the conference meet... Finished sixth at the NCAA South Central Region Championship, qualifying for the national race where she placed 53rd... Placed second at both Rice and Texas A&M invitationals.
2004 graduate of Pearland High School... Four-year letterwinner for the Oilers and coaches Lori Ziegelmeyer and Jerry Killen... Qualified for state in 3,200 as junior and senior and 1600 meters as senior... Two-time state qualifier in cross country (2000 and 2003)... Posted best 3,200 time of 10:53 and top 1,600 time of 5:05... Also competed in basketball... Graduated in the top five percent of her class with a 4.4286 grade average (4.0 scale)... Elected class secretary.
