Natalie Beazant and Dominique Harmath extended a pair of winning streaks as the 20th ranked Rice women's tennis team swept past Cal-State Northridge 7-0 to open a weekend set of matches at the Matador Tennis Complex in California.
The win was the Owls ninth in a row to run their second mark to 14-4.
Beazant and Harmath opened the day's action by breezing to their 12th consecutive win in doubles and Beazant followed by pushing the Rice lead to 2-0 with her 11th straight win in singles.
Harmath later closed out the scoring with a win on court to improve her season singles mark to a team-leading 14-3.
The Owls will close out their brief road trip with a Sunday morning dual against Santa Clara which will also be held at the Cal-State Northridge facility.
