Swimmers Named Scholar All-America Team

NORFOLK, Va. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recognized the Rice Owls as a Scholar All-American Team after posting a 3.54 grade point average during the 2017 fall semester.

The 3.54 GPA is a cumulative total from 24 student-athletes on the swim team's 2017-2018 roster. Rice's GPA was among the Top 40 in the nation for Division I swim teams, including both women’s and men’s programs.

The Owls are under the direction of head coach Seth Huston, who is in his 16th year at the helm of the program. The team grade point averages of the Top 31 CSCAA Scholar All-America teams were as follows:
