2008-09: Conference USA Academic Honor Roll; C-USA Swimmer of the Week (Nov. 18); Named a Rice University Honor Athlete; Not only scored big in three individual events at the C-USA Championships, but also competed on four of the Owls' five relays at the league meet... Finished seventh in the conference in both the 50-freestyle and 100-breaststroke... Swam a 1:03.76 in the C-USA breaststroke, the fourth-fastest mark in school history... Set a career best in the 50-free (23.35)... Established a new career-best in the 100-free (51.30), taking tenth at the conference championships... Swam on all relays, except the 800... Helped set a new school record in the 400-medley relay by swimming the breaststroke leg... Also swam the second leg of the 200-medley relay... Was the lead on the 200-free relay and went second in the 400-free relay, both of which provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships.
2007-08: C-USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll; Top Owl with a fifth place in the 100-breaststroke (1:05.91) at the C-USA Championships... Finished sixth in the 50-free after a 23.41 in the prelims... Won the consolation finals of the 100-free with a 51.53... Swam the third leg of the record-setting 800-free relay and the breaststroke leg of the record-setting, C-USA champion 200-medley relay... Was also the second leg of both the C-USA second place 400-medley relay and second place 200-Free relay.
2006-07: C-USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll; Posted an excellent debut season of Division I swimming, finishing as the Owls' top competitor in the breasstroke events... Placed seventh in the 100-breaststroke at the C-USA championships... Best time in the event was a 1:05.24 at the Indiana Invitational, the fifth-fastest mark in school history at the time... Finished 11th in the 200-breaststroke... Top time in the 200 was a 2:23.33 at the Phill Hansel Duals... Won the C-USA consolation finals of the 500-freestyle with an eye-opening 5:00.04, the second-fastest time on the team all year... Key contributor on the medley relays... Member of the Owls' C-USA winning 400-medley relay (the first Rice relay in school history to win a conference title)... Swam breaststroke on the 200-medley relay that set a new school record (1:43.70) and won the league's silver medal.
High School -- A 2006 graduate of Troy High School in Troy, Ohio... Four-year letterman for the Trojan's under Coach Jason Scott... Voted MVP four years running... Helped team to West division victory... Fifteen at state in 200 freestyle in 2004... In 2005, fifth at state in 200 free, and third in 100 breaststroke... Senior year third at state in 200 freestyle and sixth in 100 breast... Holds the team record for the 500 freestyle and the mile... Two-year letterman in cross country under Coach Barb Roberts and one-year letterman in track & field... Received Miriam-Mischler Scholarship... Ranked third in class of 360 students and named academic all-American... Four-year scholar athlete with a 4.39 grade point average.
