2008: All-Conference USA; Big contributor in the distance races that helped the Owls finish second in the league championships... Finished third in the mile at the conference meet with a career-best time of 17:03.36... Placed fifth in the C-USA 500 on the strength of a career-best 4:56.88... Scored for the team with a 12th in the league's 200-butterfly... Posted the team's fourth-fastest time of the year in the 200-fly (2:08.80) at the NIKE Invitational in Irvine, Calif... Swam a 10:16.85 in the 1,000 at the Phill Hansel Duals which stood as the team's second best mark all year.
2007: Qualified (with teammate Brittany Massengale) for the 2007 Women's Open Water 10K World Championship Trials in Fort Myers, Fla... Posted a pair of championship final finishes at the C-USA meet... Placed fifth in the C-USA mile with a career-best 17:10.83 and sixth in the 500 with a career-best 5:00.29... Won the consolation finals of the 400-individual medley (4:33.69)... Swam the anchor of the 800-free relay that finished second in the conference with one of the best marks in Rice history... Stepped up and won the 1,000-freestyle to help the Owls claim a dual meet win over Big East power Miami-Fla... Best 1,000 time was 10:11.44 in the three-way dual at LSU.
2006: Scored for the Owls in three individual events and one relay at the Conference USA championships held across town at the University of Houston... Finished seventh in the mile at the league meet with a season-best time of 17.11.21... Placed tenth in the 400-yard individual medley with a season-best 4:31.88... Took 11th in the 500-free with a best of 5:00.30... Swam the anchor leg of the 800-relay at the C-USA meet and brought home the second-fastest time in school history (7:24.62).
High School -- A 2005 graduate of Palm Harbor High School in Palm Harbor, Fla... Two-time high school all-America selection... USA Swimming Open qualifier in the 500, 800, and 1,500-meters... St. Petersburg Times Swimmer of the Year in 2004... Four-time state qualifier, finishing second in the 500 and third in the 200 at the Florida championships... Named Swimmer of the Year for Pinellas County... Coached by Lisa Bitting... Earned scholastic all-America honors, graduating summa cum laude... Member of the National Honor Society... Voted Most Outstanding Female Senior.
Club -- Selected as the 2003 Swimmer of the Year for the Clearwater Aquatic team under coach Mike Yearwood.
