2011- 2012: Swam a 57.48 exhibition in the 100-backstroke at the Conference USA Championships that was the Owls' second-fastest marks of the season and one of the 12 fastest times in the league that weekend... Top time in the 200-back was a 2:03.19 exhibition at the C-USA meet, one of the Top 12 marks in the conference... Rice's top finisher in the 200-backstroke at the San Diego State Invitational, placing seventh among a field of 18 entries... Took second in the 200-back in the home dual meet against nationally-ranked SMU.
2010-2011: C-USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll; Improved across the board and saved her best for last to help the Owls win the first conference swimming championship in school history... Scored 36 points at conference competing in three individual events and one relay... Reached the championship finals in both backstroke events... Finished eighth in the 100-back after a career-best 57.02 in the morning prelims... Placed seventh in the 200-back with a 2:02.45... Swam a career-best 2:02.24 at the Phill Hansel Invitational in the fall... Was 12th in the league in the 200-freestyle with a career-best 1:52.28... A 2009 graduate of Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, Calif... Eleven-time high school All-America for head coach Tom Miller... Helped the Monarch's win three Central Coast Section (CCS) championships in 2006, 2007 and 2009... Won the CCS individual championship in the 100-yard backstroke as a sophomore in 2007... Career-best time in the 100-back is 55.72... Posted a 2:05.79 in the 200-individual medley and a 4:28.49 in the 400-IM... Strong competitor in the freestyle with a 51.47 in the 100, a 1:49.16 in the 200 and a 4:57.38 in the 500... Named the Swimmer of the Year as a sophomore in 2007...
