Scored big for the team at the C-USA championships and in dual meets... Finished third in the C-USA mile with a season-best time of 16:41.68... Also posted a pair of C-USA fourths in the 200- (1:49.70) and the 500-free (4:51.94)... Swam a career-best 100 (51.40) as the lead leg of the Owls' C-USA silver medal-winning 400-free relay, the second-fastest 4x100 Rice foursome in school history... Member of the 800-free relay that finished second in the conference with one of the best marks in Rice history... Competed in the 1,000 in 11 of the team's 16 dual meets and won that race a total of eight times.
2005-2006: Delivered another first-class season for the Owls... Named a co-recipient (with Diane Gu) of the Catherine Hannah Award as the Owls' outstanding swimmer(s) of the year... Represented Rice in both the 500- and 1,650-yard freestyle at the NCAA Championships in Athens, Ga... Placed 27th among a field of 54 entries in the prelims of the 500-free with a time of 4:49.51 (2.09 seconds off the finals' cut of 4:47.42)... Set a new Rice record in the 500 two weeks before (4:46.58) by finishing third at the Conference USA Championships across town at the University of Houston... Finished 28th among a field of 40 NCAA entries in the mile... Swam a 16:37.33 a the NCAAs, just off her 2005 school record... Placed fourth in the mile at the C-USA meet (16:35.86)... Scored for the team at conference in the 400-individual medley by tying for fourth place (4:26.52 in prelims)... Broke what was previously the oldest school record in the Rice ledgers (12 years) with a 9:56.59 in the 1,000-freestyle... Posted the team's third fastest time in the 200-free (1:51.13) at the Longhorn Invitational in Austin... Key contributor to the 800-free relay.
2004-2005: Earned the team's Rookie of the Year award as an NCAA provisional qualifier in three events while reaching the championship finals of the mile, the 500 and the 200-yard freestyle at the Western Athletic Conference championships in San Antonio... Broke an 11-year old Rice record with a 16:35.73 in the mile, taking second place at the WAC meet... Set the new school record in the 1,000 (9:58.72) and is the first Owl to break the 10 minute mark in the event... Finished fourth in the WAC in the 500 with an NCAA provisional 4:49.63... Was sixth in the league in the 200 with a team-best 1:50.14... Swam the second leg of the third-best 800-free relay in school history (7:25.51) at the WAC meet... Member of the 400-free relay team that finished fourth... Continued the successful season by competing in USA Swimming events over the summer... Qualified for the 2008 Olympic trials in the 400- and 800-meters at the U.S. Open Championships in Irvine, Calif.
