High School - A 2011 graduate of Plano Senior High School in Plano, Tex.... Eight-time High School All-America... Junior National qualifier/finalist... Individual finalist at the state championships... Helped the Wildcats win the District 7-5A title and regional championship, and finish third overall in the state meet... Swam a career-best 23.66 in the 50-yard freestyle as a senior... Member of the Dallas Morning News Relay Team of the Year... Coached by Philip Wiggins... National Honor Society and National French Honor Society member.

Personal - Full name: Marissa Anne Konicke. Born: August 18, 1993, at Elgin Air Force Base near Valparaiso, Florida. Parents: Thomas and Patricia Konicke of Flower Mound, Tex. (two sisters). Both sisters swam at the Division I level, including Kelsey for four years at New Mexico State and Genny, who will be a senior at SMU in 2011-2012. Chose to attend Rice over Missouri, Illinois and SMU. Active in community service and charity work through the National Honor Society. Rice College: Baker
