2006-2007: Improved across the board in her second season with the Owls... Scored big for the team in three individual events and three relays at the Conference USA championships... Finished fourth in the 100-backstroke at the C-USA meet... Best 100-back time was 56.97 as the opening leg of the Owls' C-USA winning 400-medley relay (the first Rice relay in school history to win a conference title)... Swam backstroke in the 200-medley relay that set a new school record (1:43.70) and finished second in conference... Took fifth in the C-USA 200-backstroke... Best 200-back time was 2:04.73 to close out the year at the American Short Course Championships in Austin... Made the championship final of the 200-butterfly with the team's second-fastest time of the year (2:07.27)... Anchored the fourth-fastest 200-freestyle relay in school history... Swam a career-best 23.86 in the 50-free across town at the University of Houston.
2005-2006: Closed out a successful first season of collegiate swimming by scoring for the Owls in three events at the C-USA meet... Stepped up and won the consolation final of the 100-yard backstroke with a career-best time 58.07... Placed 11th at the C-USA meet in the 100-yard butterfly (58.68) and was 15th in the 200-backstroke (2:11.87)... Posted the team's second-best 200-butterfly of the season (2:10.14) at the 2005 Texas A&M Invitational... Swam the 50- and the 500-freestyle at the Las Vegas Invitational over the winter holidays.
High School -- A 2005 graduate of Memorial High School in Houston... National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) all-America in the 100-butterfly, 100-backstroke and 500- freestyle... Three-time District 18-5A most valuable player who led the Mustangs to back-to-back championships in 2004 and 2005... Two-time regional champion who qualified for state championship all four years... Coached Paul Bowman... USA Swimming Academic all-America honoree... Graduated as Valedictorian with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Personal -- Full Name: Keri Ann Hyde. Born: May 14, 1987 at Washington, D.C. Parents: Jeffrey and Nancy Hyde, Houston (two brothers). Father competed in track and field at VMI, 1975. Engaged to Anthony Macaluso III (Rice 2006), a former football letterman for the Owls. The happy couple have plans for a Houston wedding in July 2008.
