2010-2011: Shared Rice's Catherine Hannah Award (with Chelsea Fong) as the program's Swimmer of the Year; Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medalist; C-USA Academic Honor Roll; Two-time C-USA Swimmer of the Week (Oct. 20 & Jan. 13); Scored 72 points for the Owls at the C-USA Championship meet, the second-highest total on the team... Reached the championship finals of three events and swam on four relays at the conference meet... Finished fourth overall in the C-USA's 200-yard butterfly after posting a career-best 2:01.52 in the morning prelims, the fourth-fastest time by an Owl in school history... Swam the second fastest 200-IM in school history in the conference prelims (2:01.70), improving on her mark from the year before and approaching a 16-year old Rice record... Went on to place eighth in the C-USA's 200-IM after her goggles failed early in the race... Competed only a few times in the 100-breaststroke in the regular season before registering an eye-opening 1:04.19 at conference, the fifth-fastest mark in school history... Went on to finish sixth in the C-USA's 100-breaststroke... Swam on every C-USA relay except the 800-freestyle... Was the second leg of the second-fastest 400-medley relay in school history... Swam a career-best 57.09 in the 100-butterfly in the opening meet of the year at Boise State, a mark that held as the second-fastest on the team for the remainder of the season.
2009-2010: Earned Rice's Catherine Hannah Award as the program's Swimmer of the Year; Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medalist; C-USA Academic Honor Roll; Rice University Honor Athlete; Two-time C-USA Swimmer of the Week (Jan. 6 & Nov. 10)... Reached the championship final of three C-USA events for the second time in two years... Finished third overall in the league's 200-yard individual medley after a career-best 2:01.97 in the prelims, the second-fastest Rice mark in school history and the best by an Owl in 15 years... Placed fourth in the conference in the 400-IM with a career-best 4:21.73... Took eighth in the C-USA's 100-freestyle after a career-best 51.02 in the prelims... Swam on four of the team's five fastest relays of the season, including the anchor leg of 200-medley relay that finished second in the conference with the second-fastest time in school history (1:42.27)... Also swam the anchor leg for the 400-medley relay that posted the program's second-fastest time (3:47.16) on the way to a fourth-place C-USA finish, and the 800-free relay that placed second in the league with the school's third-best mark (7:22.10)... Member of the Owls' 400-free relay that took third in the conference with a 3:23.33... Set two facility records at the Rice Aquatics Center by winning the 200-free (1:52.92) and the 200-IM (2:07.41) in the venue's inaugural meet... Member of the Owls' 400-medley relay that won the first-ever varsity event held at the new Aquatics Center... Notched a career-best 24.64 in the 50-free at the SMU Classic in the fall...
2008-2009: Conference USA Academic Honor Roll; Earned the swim program's Rookie of the Year Award as the team's most outstanding true freshman; C-USA Swimmer of the Week (Nov. 26); Capped a sensational debut season at the Division I level with big finishes at the C-USA Championships and swimming on a record-setting relay... Reached the championship finals of three C-USA events... Led a block of Rice finishers with a fourth in the C-USA's 400-individual medley (4:23.57)... Posted the fifth-best mark in school history (2:03.44) to take fifth in the 200-IM, the fastest time by an Owl in seven years... Finished eighth in the 200-backstroke after a 2:04.32 in the prelims... Swam the third leg of the record-setting 800-free relay at the conference meet... Made the championship finals of the 100-freestyle at Nebraska Cornhusker Invitational, placing tenth among a field of more than 30 competitors with a Rice-best 52.81... Best time in the 200-free was 1:52.33 at the Phill Hansel Duals... Top mark in the 50-free was 25.36.
A 2008 graduate of nearby Lamar High School in Houston... Junior Nationals qualifier in the 200-individual medley, 200-free, and 200-back... Won the Texas Region III-5A championship in the 200-IM in 2007... Three-time all-state selection... School record-holder in 200-IM and 200-free... Coached in swimming by Stephen McDonald...
