Posted the team's second-fastest mark of the season in two different events- highlighted by a career-best 2:07.07 for eleventh in the C-USA's 200-butterfly, and a season-best 1:05.37 in the league's 100-breaststroke... Registered the 1:05.37 to win a C-USA swim-off in the 100-breaststroke, and then proceeded to defeat a few more competitors for 13th overall... 2008-09: Earned Rice University's Kathryn Scholl True Blue Spirit Award as the Owls' swimmer with the best enthusiasm and positive attitude at meets and during daily practice; Registered five new career-best times in her second year with the program... Swam the fastest 200-breaststroke at Rice in seven years with a 2:21.13 at the LSU triple-dual meet in Baton Rouge, La.... Finished 11th in the 200-breaststroke at the Conference USA Championships after swimming a 2:21.92 in the prelims... Posted a solid 1:04.49 in a timed-trial of the 100-breaststroke at the C-USA championships... Took 12th in the league's 100-breaststroke and was 16th in the 400-individual medley... Had career-bests in the 400-IM (4:28.65) and 200-IM (2:09.30) to help the Owls claim the overall team title at the Cornhusker Invitational in November... Swam her career-best 100-butterfly (1:00.07) on the lead leg of the 400-IM at the conference meet.
2007-08: Provided an immediate impact in first season of Division I competition, posting the team's best time of the year with a sixth place finish at the Conference USA championships in the 200-breaststroke... Reached the C-USA's championship finals and placed sixth in the 200-butterfly (2:07.51)... Scored for the Owls in conference in the 400-IM (11th place)... Swam the team's second-fastest 100-breaststroke and second-fastest 200-IM of the year in a home dual meet win over the University of New Orleans.
