LaGro is a senior defender who has been a fixture in the starting lineup the last four years. The Dallas, Tex., native earned second team all-conference honors after starting all 21 matches where she was often assigned to mark the opposing team's top scoring threat. Overall the Rice backline recorded eight complete game shutouts and held opponents to just 11.7 shots per game. LaGro served at the Owls' team captain, and she also was a Rice star in the classroom who earned academic all-region and all-conference honors.
