2013 NSCAA Academic Honor Roll (Women's Teams)

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) recognized Rice as having one of the highest team grade point averages in the country in its annual academic honors list released on Thursday (Nov. 21). With 25 Owls on the soccer roster combining for a cumulative grade point average of 3.42, the Owls have the highest team GPA for Division I teams in the state of Texas (including both women's and/or men's soccer programs).

Under the direction of head coach Nicky Adams, Rice soccer has made the NSCAA annual academic honors list in each of the last four years. Coach Adams had high praise for the Owls' latest group of honorees.

"I am extremely proud of each member of our team for their academic achievements," Adams said. "The discipline that our players show, not only on the soccer field but in the classroom as well, proves what great individuals Rice University produces. These players work so hard to make sure they represent Rice to the fullest. Congratulations to all the student-athletes and their respective teams."
