The Rice soccer team hosts Marshall at 7 pm Monday (Nov. 4) in the opening round of the C-USA Championship, kicking-off the week-long tournament to be held at the Owls' Holloway Field.
A total of ten conference teams, five from each of the two divisions, qualified for the annual championship where the league's automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Tournament will be on the line. The event's championship final is scheduled for Sunday (Nov. 10) at 1 pm, and slated for a live television broadcast by CBS Sports Network.
There are two games scheduled for Monday's opening round. The first is UAB (11-6-2) vs. Tulsa (10-6-3) at 4:30 pm. Rice (7-7-3) meets Marshall (9-6-3) in the nightcap.
