Nicknames from my teammates: "Lo Hughes" or "Canada"

My favorite soccer players: Christine Sinclair and Alex Morgan

My favorite book: The Alchemist

My pet peeve is: when people don't recycle

Favorite servery meal: bacon-wrapped pork with asparagus, Caesar salad and fruit

Favorite class at Rice: any sociology class

I chose to attend Rice because: good soccer team, great coaches, amazing academics and even better weather

What I like most about college life at Rice: having our own bathroom

I knew I had gone off to college when: people started making fun of the way I speak

One athlete (but a non soccer player) I would like to meet: Terry Fox

One person (but a non athlete) I would like to meet: Ryan Gosling

The celebrity who people say I most look like: I've been told a few times that I resemble Alex Morgan

When I last looked, I had this many friends on Facebook: 1,700

Who got me interested in soccer: my mom

The very first kids' soccer team I ever played for was nicknamed: Timbits

I chose my Rice jersey number because: when I was younger I chose number 7 because it was my crush's hockey number

Favorite sport besides soccer: ultimate

My teammates think I : have an accent
