The 2008 Rice soccer season is underway so it's time to learn a little more about the players with the fan-favorite feature Just For Kicks. After starting back-to-back games and leading a solid effort on defense last weekend, sophomore Jordan Holloway is the first Owl to take the Just For Kicks hotseat.

My favorite soccer player: Fernando Torres

My favorite movie: Wedding Crashers

My favorite music artist: George Strait

My pet peeve: People who don't use their blinkers when they turn, or, when they turn a blinker on and forget to turn it off.

My favorite snack: White Cheddar Cheez-its

My favorite meal at the Rice servery: the pesto ravioli

My favorite class at Rice: Nutrition

I chose to attend Rice because: The combination of a great soccer team and academics.

I chose my Rice number because: I have been No. 16 for most of my soccer career

One athlete (non soccer player) I would like to meet is: Brady Quinn

One person (non athlete) I would like to meet is: Vince Vaughn

My favorite moment of my soccer career: Going to nationals with my club

Who got me interested in soccer: My parents

The best soccer advice I ever had: "never get out hustled" - my dad

My favorite sports besides soccer: basketball and football

The Rice team I like to watch play their sport: So I don't get in trouble with my roommates, I have to say volleyball. Baseball is a close second though.

The most embarrassing moment or thing that ever happened to me: I claimed I could do the Soulja Boy dance last year, however it was terrible. My teammates still make fun of me for it.

 

 

I describe myself as: a hard worker and easy going

My teammates think I am: unlucky
