The start of O-Week is big. The start of the soccer season, this Friday at Texas Tech, is really big! The start of the 2011 Just For Kicks, however, is simply off the charts! Sophomore Kasey McKenney has won the toss and elected to receive the "J.F.K." season-opener!
Full name: Kasey Joan McKenney
The nicknames my teammates call me: "Lightning McQueen", or "Speed Demon"
My favorite soccer player: Lauren Cheney.. reppin' for Indy!!
My favorite movie: Transformers 3... sorry Harry :(
My favorite web site: riceowls.com!! DUH
My favorite CD or music artist: toooo many
My favorite snack: anything edible?
My favorite meal at the Rice servery: cinnamon rolls
My favorite class at Rice is: well definitely not Gen Chem, no offense.
I chose to attend Rice because: I like to think it chose me...
What I like most about college life at Rice: the campus bus system
My pet peeve is: peevey pets, society in general, oh and strangers who smile at me
One athlete (non soccer player) I would like to meet: Peyton Manning/Austin Collie.. toss up. Austin probably wins with good looks.
People (non athlete) I would like to meet are: Daniel Tosh, Katie Heaney, Ellen Degeneres... mostly anyone who's made me "lol"
On Twitter, I follow: no thanks.
When I last looked, I had this many friends on Facebook: I abstain from this as well.
My favorite moment of my soccer career so far: EVERY MOMENT So far in my career,
I've probably been through this many pair of soccer shoes: what?!?! who could even answer this question!
The person who got me interested in soccer was: my sister, and the soccer gods of course.
The best soccer advice I ever had was: "Get the fridge off your back, McKenney."
My favorite sport besides soccer: probably football, maybe.
The Rice team I like to watch play their sport: baseball
The most embarrassing moment or thing that ever happened to me was: The team once told me I could change in the hallway near the training room because "everyone does it"... they were wrong.
I describe myself as: semi-normal
My teammates think I am: perfect
Coach Nicky thinks I am: awesome!
My favorite expression Coach Nicky uses: "I love soccer."
Other than myself, the Rice Owl to keep an eye on this season: The whole dang team!
The Rice soccer player with the best non-soccer talent: Jules, best Gilly dancer ever. I can't even get into Alex's hidden talents, she's like an iceberg of overly impressive skills.
One thing I'd like to say, but you didn't ask: Who would even venture near an ocean after Shark Week?!?!!? Clearly a poor decision.
