Rice Head Coach Chris Huston welcomed back 15 returning letterwinners from last season and a total of 10 newcomers on the first day of soccer practice Wednesday (Aug. 4).

After a morning training session on the Rice campus, the team traveled north to The Cooper School in The Woodlands, Tex., for the second half of the day's workout. The Blue & Gray will remain at The Cooper School for a two-a-day training camp for the remainder of the weekend.

The Owls begin the 2010 season with an exhibition game at Texas A&M on Aug. 14. The official season-opener is set for Aug. 20 on the road at Baylor. Rice's home-opener is Aug. 22 (Sun.) against longtime rival Stephen F. Austin. This year marks the 10th anniversary season of the Rice soccer program.
