Soccer Season Tickets Available As Owls Announce 2015 Schedule

June 4, 2015

HOUSTON - Season tickets for Rice soccer, the defending Conference USA champions, are now available for the team's new 2015 schedule announced on Thursday (June 4).

Season tickets starting as low as $50 are available for the Owls' nine home matches, a challenging schedule featuring Texas A&M, Arkansas and SMU as well as the regular season slate of C-USA league games. In addition to season tickets featuring reserved or general admission seating, the popular Flex Plans (where fans can use different quantities of tickets for their choice of games throughout the season) are again available for soccer. Ticket information is available on line at http://www.riceowls.com/tickets/w-soccer-tickets.html

Fan experience is also on the rise with facility upgrades for soccer (and track and field). New bleachers are under construction this summer. For more information on the upgrades, please visit http://news.rice.edu/2015/06/04/rice-to-build-new-soccer-track-and-field-facility/

The Owls' 2015 soccer season first gets underway with a home preseason exhibition match on August 15 vs. crosstown rival Houston. The official season-opener is a marquee match against longtime national power Texas A&M (Aug. 21) - a squad that reached the NCAA College Cup. Rice also welcomes SEC foe Arkansas, and former conference rivals SMU and San Jose State for home games.

C-USA opponents to visit Rice this fall include FIU, FAU, UAB, Middle Tennessee and UTSA. Five of the nine home matches are scheduled for Thursday/Friday nights while four are on Sunday afternoons.

Under the direction of head coach Nicky Adams the Rice soccer program tied the school record with 14 wins in 2014, including the C-USA Championship title to advance to the NCAA Tournament.
