Rice - All-around complete player... Loves the game of soccer... Moves quickly all over the field with composure and calmness... Metroplex area standout from the same Solar Soccer Club that won the National Championship in her age group.

2013: National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Central Region (second team); All-Conference USA (first team); C-USA Academic Honor Roll; Selected as the team's Midfield MVP; One of just four Owls, and the only midfielder, to start all 18 games... Tied for third on the team with five goals, and tied for second on the squad with four assists... Became only the ninth player in Rice soccer history to score goals in three-consecutive games (Oct. 12-20, vs. Southern Miss, Colorado College and FIU)... Twice scored a goal and had an assist in the same game, a pair of wins vs. Lamar and North Texas... Was fourth on the team in shots (29), and maintained a steady .586 shots-on-goal percentage that was second-best on the team... Rarely came off the field... Finished second on the team with 1,623 minutes played, 96.4 percent of the team's total time... Played 90 or more minutes 13 times... The two games with less-than 75 minutes played were both of the comfortable wins over Lamar and Old Dominion where the Owls scored a season-high five goals in each contest... Served as a team captain.

2012: NSCAA All-Central Region (second team); All-Conference USA (first team); Rice Soccer Midfielder of the Year; C-USA Academic Honor Roll; Started all 21 games and rarely came off the field, playing 90 or more minutes 13 times... Finished fourth on the team in minutes (1,791) and averaged more than 85 minutes per game... Scored goals against Big 12 power Oklahoma and C-USA foe UAB on the road... Registered the assist on the game-winning goal in back-to-back matches against Sam Houston State and Tulsa (both goals scored by Holly Hargreaves)... Finished fourth on the team in shots (30) and maintained a .400 shots-on-goal percentage... Attempted a season-high four shots against C-USA foe East Carolina.

2011: All-Conference USA (third team); C-USA All-Freshman Team; C-USA Academic Honor Roll; Capped an outstanding debut season of Division I soccer... Played in all 21 games, including 20 times as a starter in either the midfield or at forward... Tied for third on the team in goals (2) and points (7)... First career goal lifted the Owls over longtime rival SMU on the road in Dallas... Started at forward and played the entire game against the Mustangs, scoring in the 84th minute... Became the 14th player in Rice soccer history to have her first career goal also be the game-winning goal... Scored in just the second minute of action in the C-USA victory over Southern Miss (1:45), officially the fifth-fastest goal in the history of the Rice soccer program... Came back to record an assist on Lauren Busansky's second goal of the game that day against the Golden Eagles... Also logged assists on Jessica Howard's game-opening goal against Western Kentucky and Gabriela Iribarne's goal against UAB... Finished third on the team shots (31)... Attempted a career-high five shots against UAB... Maintained a .484 shots-on-goal percentage... Totaled 1,730 minutes, the second-most of any of the Owls' freshmen (topped only by rookie goalkeeper Amy Czyz)... Averaged 82.3 minutes per game and was on the field 86.1 percent of the team's total time... Played 90 or more minutes nine times, including a season-long 103 minutes twice.

High School - A 2011 graduate of Central High School in Keller, Tex.... Two-time, first-team all-District 5-5A... Coached by Ray Martinez... Twice named the Chargers' Most Valuable Player... Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2008... Also earned varsity letters in track & field and cross country... Ranked in the Top 10 in the senior class... Member of the National Honor Society... Maintained a 4.1 grade point average on 4.0 scale as a student in the Distinguished Achievement Program.

Club - Participated in the 2009 U17 Women's National Team Training Camp in New York... Attended the 93's National Team Camp in Ponoma, Calif., in 2007... North Texas ODP in 2009... Versatile player for Solar Soccer Club, the 2010 National Champions... 2010 Regional III Champions... Coached by Adrian Solca... 2008-2009 Red Bull National League finalist... Two-time Texas (North) State Cup-Champion (2008, 2006), four-time finalist... Won the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League Div. I Grand Championship four times... Won back-to-back Disney Soccer Showcase Championships in 2009 & 2010.

Personal - Full name: Quynh-Nhu Nguyen Truong. Born: September 29, 1993, in Des Plaines, Illinois. Parents: Quang Truong and Trang Nguyen of Fort Worth (one brother). Volunteers with Toys for Tots and works with youth soccer. Chose to attend Rice over Notre Dame, Harvard, Florida State, TCU and the University of Chicago.
