Personal -- Full name: Madison Rae Kent. Parents: Michael and Ann Kent of Sugar Land, Texas (one brother, one sister). Chose to attend Rice over Princeton, Missouri, Auburn, Costal Carolina and James Madison.

Rice head coach Nicky Adams said -- “Madison is a pure workhorse. Because of her stamina and strength it allows her to be a box-to-box type of player. She is versatile enough to play anywhere along the flank and provide her team with great attacking opportunities."

Clements H.S. Coach Robert Boagni said -- "Madison is the most complete soccer player I have ever coached. Her excellent skill and production on the field are matched by her positive attitude and intensity. She is a winner whose drive and determination pushes herself and others to greatness."

Madison Kent said -- "I chose Rice because while playing for an excellent soccer program I will be surrounded by coaches, players and students who will undoubtedly challenge me to reach my goals on and off the field. After spending time with the coaching staff, seeing the beautiful campus and learning more about what Rice had to offer, I knew I wanted to be an Owl. I intend to make the most of this experience and will make the Owls proud."
