2012: Started on defense against Baylor in the opening game of the season and went on to play in four games before being sidelined for the remainder of the year with an injury... Worked hard to rejoin her teammates on the field.
2011: Appeared in four contests in first season with the program, including C-USA league games against East Carolina, UAB and Southern Miss... Played a season-long eight minutes twice, against Sam Houston State and UAB.
High School - A 2011 graduate of New Tech High School in Manor, Tex.... Two-time all-District 16-4A selection and All-Cen Tex honoree as a junior in 2009... Versatile athlete who was a three-year letterwinner on the Mustang's track & field teams... Outstanding student... Member of the national honor society.
Club - ODP 2005-2010... Experienced club defender for the Lonestars `93 Red... Coached by Don Cameron... Advanced to the 2010 US Youth Soccer Region III Championship Semifinals... 2010 USYSNC State Cup Champions... Helped lead club to the 2009 STYSA Classic League Championship, Western District Spring Championship, and Premier League Region III West runner-up... 2008 National Championship semifinalists after winning the US Youth Soccer Region III title and USYS state cup.
Personal - Full name: Kelsey Nicole Rightmer. Born: April 9, 1993, in Austin. Parents: Charles and Karen Rightmer of Austin (one brother, one sister). Father was a gymnast at the Air Force Academy. Sister played soccer in the SEC for two seasons at Auburn. Volunteers time in community service and at her church.
