Owls Complete Regular Season With 11-3-3 Record, 22 Points In C-USA Standings

Rice - Strong and versatile player from the heralded Sting Soccer Club of Dallas... Played most of her youth career with former Owl greats Jessica Howard and Hayley Williams.

2013: Named the program's Most Improved Player after moving to a new position (defender) for a majority of the season... Battled through some injuries to play in 17 of the team's 18 games with 16 starts... Averaged 89.5 minutes per start and played 90 or more minutes in all but four starts... Finished sixth on the team with 1,463 minutes... Helped take-on a leadership role on the backline when senior starter Hayley Williams was lost for the final month of the season... Versatile enough to contribute at different positions during the course of a game... Started at forward on opening day vs. Stephen F. Austin and took two shots on-goal

2012: Built on debut season by appearing in all 21 games as a sophomore... Worked her way into four midfield starts where the Owls went 4-0-0... Registered a total of 623 minutes, including a season-high 65 minutes in the Conference USA home victory over Tulsa... Played 54 minutes against Oklahoma and 52 vs. UTEP.

2011: Conference USA All-Tournament Team; Rice Soccer Most Improved Player; Recorded a solid freshman season... Played in all 21 games while working her way into 10 starts at forward... In her 10 starts up top Rice outscored opponents 14-6... First career goal lifted the Owls over SMU in overtime at the Conference USA Tournament... Became the 16th player in Rice soccer history to have her first career goal also be the game-winning goal... Played 21 minutes in the season-opener at Texas Tech and was inserted into the starting lineup the very next game in the home-opener vs. McNeese State... Totaled 839 minutes on the season, including a season-high 78 minutes in the victory over Western Kentucky... Averaged 40 minutes a game and 47.7 minutes when starting... Finished with 19 shots, including 10 on-goal for a .526 shots-on-goal percentage... Took a career-high four shots in the C-USA Tournament game against UTEP.

High School - A 2011 graduate of Rowlett High School in Rowlett, Tex.... Dominating attacker/outside mid, earning District 10-5A Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2009... Three-time first team all-district selection... Coached in by Jason Fegraeus... Served as the Eagles' varsity team captain in 2010-2011.

Club - Veteran club player for Sting Royal `93, a 2009 USYS Region III semifinalist and North Texas State Cup finalist... Coached by Kenny Medina... ODP Region Camp in 2009, and ODP first team in 2005-2006... Helped club to the USYS Region III Premier League West Championship and Region III Semifinals in 2008... Served four years as the Sting Royal `93 team captain under head coach Mary Howard, including the 2007 US Youth Soccer National Championship squad... Three-time Texas Cup Champion and San Diego Surf Champions in 2006.
