Solid outside back whose biggest attributes lie in her ability to defend 1-v-1, compete in the air, composure on the ball, and her distribution out of the back. Rice soccer's first-ever recruit from Minnesota.

High School - A 2011 graduate of East Ridge High School in Woodbury, Minn... Two-time, all-state prep player who helped East Ridge High School win the 2008 state championship... Coached by Mark Abboud... Named the 2010 team MVP after leading the Raptors in assists... Versatile athlete also earned a varsity letter in track & field... Member of the Academic Honor Roll.

Club - Minnesota ODP State Team and Midwest Regional Camp in 2007 and 2008... Helped lead MN Thunder Academy `93 to State Cup Championships in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010... Coached by Mark Cook... 2010 USYSA National Finals Quaifier and Region II Champions... 2009 Elite Clubs National League participant and Disney College Showcase Champions... 2008 MRL First Division Champions and Premier Division Runner-Up... 2007 Region II Semifinalist.

Personal - Full name: Bianca Gabriella Diaz. Born: August 24, 1993, in Seattle, Washington. Parents: George and Monica Diaz of Woodbury, Minn., (three sisters). Father played soccer at San Diego State (1982-86). Chose to attend Rice over Marquette and UW-Milwaukee. Volunteers community service time with Summer Stretch.
