Personal -- Full name: Isabella Claire Killgore. Parents: Jernee and Robert Killgore of El Dorado Hills, Calif. (one brother, two sisters). Chose to attend Rice over Colorado College and Trinity University.

Rice head coach Nicky Adams said -- “Bella is a goalkeeper with a tremendous upside and to see her development, even in the last year, has been fantastic. She is a great shot stopper and can change a game with her distribution. I have seen very few goalkeepers that can consistently strike a ball like Bella. She is also a very technical goalkeeper but can improvise to make big saves when necessary. It will be exciting to see her compete for a starting spot this Fall in what is already a strong goalkeeper contingent."

Challenge Soccer Head Coach Chris Maravalli said -- "Over the last three years Bella has developed into easily one of the best goalkeepers in the South. She is a selfless worker who's individual drive and improvement filters into the rest of her teammates, helping create a very energetic and competitive training environment on a daily basis. She is one of the best organizers and distributors of the ball that we have had. Her ability to start the counter attack, retain possession and relieve pressure lends itself very well to the to the D1 Top 25 level while her leadership abilities and high quality shot stopping will have an immediate impact on her team. Challenge has had some exceptional goalkeepers and Bella will undoubtedly go down as one of my all time favorites and certainly one of the most talented. Rice is getting not only a tremendous soccer talent but also a wonderful teammate who will make the Owl family proud!"

Bella Killgore said -- "I chose Rice because it's the perfect school academically and athletically for me. Coaches Adams and Saylor are very professional, devoted, and passionate, and the women's soccer program is exceptional. After moving to Houston after my freshman year of high school, I fell in love with the city and knew Rice was the perfect fit as soon as I walked on the campus."
