Helped Carondelet win 2010 & 2011 East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) Championships, 2011 CIF North Coast Section (NCS) Championship, and earn an ESPN RISE FAB 50 ranking (#12)... Played more than 20,000 minutes in goal in a nine-year club career, recording 182 shutouts in over 300 starts with 0.485 goals-against average... Helped lead the club to three state championships, the 2006 USYSA Region IV semifinals and 2006 #1 ranking by NationalSoccerRanking... Red Bull National League and Elite Clubs National league (ECNL) participant... Named as ECNL 2010 "All Event Team Goalkeeper."
Personal - Full name: Amy Marie Czyz. Born: October 5, 1992 in Truckee, Calif. Daughter of Tom Czyz and Lisa Deal, step-father is John Deal. Athletic family includes: Tom Czyz playing baseball at Cal Poly and her brother, Mike Czyz, currently playing football at Northern Arizona; Grandfather, Tom Czyz Sr., was a three-sport letterman at Western Michigan; An uncle, Rob Lambert, played baseball at Cal Poly and in the New York Yankees organization; A cousin, Steve Lesser, played soccer at Cornell. Chose to attend Rice over Michigan, San Diego and Cornell. Volunteers community service time with the Animal Rescue Foundation in Contra Costa County.
