Nicky Adams on Amanda McMaster: "Amanda is a very solid goalkeeper and will look to compete for our starting spot this season. She will fit into our team culture immediately because of her strong desire to keep improving and her winning attitude. Amanda comes to us with a great overall base. She is comfortable playing with her feet, which is ideal with the system we play, and she has great reactions."

Executive Director of Palo Alto Soccer Club and Goalkeeper Coach Coach Rodrigo Baptista said: "I had the opportunity to work with Amanda for the past 3 years here at PASC. It is difficult to put into words the positive impact that Amanda has had on our NPL program and club. Her enthusiasm, leadership, loyalty, diligence, and sheer soccer abilities have helped our program and club to compete at the highest level. Amanda is a natural born leader who uses her soccer knowledge and commitment to direct her communication on the field, in both training and games. Her drive and abilities will truly be an asset to Rice."

Amanda McMaster said: "From the moment I stepped on the Rice campus, I felt right at home. I love the size of the school, the beautiful campus, the friendly people that I've met, and the many opportunities the school offers. I have really enjoyed my interactions with my future coaches and teammates; each of them immediately helped me feel a part of this team. I believe coaches Adams, Sirmans, and Saylor will provide a great atmosphere to train and study hard, compete at the highest level, and still have a laugh or two along the way. I feel privileged to have the chance to contribute to an excellent soccer program and study in a world-class academic environment."
