C-USA Leading 255 Rice Athletes Named to Commissioner’s Honor Roll

Rice -- 2016: Conference USA Academic Honor Roll; Rice Scholar Athlete; Competed in all 17 contests with 16 starts in the midfield... Tied for second on the team with four goals... Scored in the opening game of the season on the road against nationally-ranked Texas A&M to give the Owls an early 1-0 advantage... Came back to score in the next game as well, the home-opener against crosstown foe Houston Baptist where she also posted a season-high four shots... Registered the game-winning goals against longtime foe Tulsa and C-USA opponent Old Dominion... Held a .684 shots-on-goal percentage, the highest mark for Owls with at least 15 shot attempts... Tied for third on the team with nine points... Finished seventh on the squad with 1,181 minutes... Played 70 or more minutes nine times.

2015: C-USA Academic Honor Roll; Worked her way into starting all 19 games in 2015, a streak of 20-straight starts... Earned the program's Most Improved Award... Began the season in the midfield, but was versatile enough to switch to defense midway through the year... Recorded two assists in C-USA road games (WKU and North Texas)... Finished third on the team with 1,649 minutes, 92.8 percent of the Owls' total time.

2014: C-USA Academic Honor Roll; Steady contributor in first season of Division I soccer despite being sidelined midway through the year... Able to play in only one game from Sept. 6 to Oct. 23, but worked hard to come back and rejoin her teammates for the last month of the season... Successful return for the final seven games of the season included the squad's title run in the C-USA Tournament and starting in the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2005... Played a career-long 77 minutes and took a shot on-goal in the NCAA Tournament match vs. national power Texas... After playing the third-most minutes of any of the Owl freshmen on opening day at Baylor (76), she returned to make first career start two days later against NCAA Tournament-bound Dayton... Came off the bench to take a career-high four shots in 34 minutes at longtime rival Lamar... Appeared in 13 matches overall with two starts... Finished with a total of 446 minutes... Took nine shots and maintained a .667 shots on-goal percentage. Wore jersey No. 18 in first collegiate season.
