Irving, Texas - For the second time this season, Rice women's basketball player Jessica Kuster has earned Conference USA's Freshman of the Week Award. Kuster previously was selected as Freshman of the Week on Dec. 6.

The San Antonio Reagan High School product scored a team-high 15 points and grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds at UALR on Saturday (Dec. 18). The 6' 2" forward made 6-of-10 shots from the field and went 3-of-4 from the free throw line in 35 minutes of action.

The Owls (5-5) return to the hardwood on Tuesday at HBU (2-9) starting at 7 p.m.
