Rice hosts the Gene Hackerman Invitational Dec. 2 and Dec. 3 inside Tudor Fieldhouse. North Texas (4-2) faces Oregon State (5-0) in the first contest on Friday at 5 p.m., with the Owls (4-3) battling Texas A&M Corpus Christi (2-5) 30 minutes later. Saturday's consolation game starts at 5 p.m. and the championship tips 30 minutes later.

Rice Head Coach Greg Williams
Greg Williams (Rice, 1970) is now in his seventh season as the head coach of his alma mater. Williams has a 93-103 record at Rice and an 18-year career mark of 294-242.

Series History
Rice is 2-0 vs. Texas A&M Corpus Christi after winning 61-55 in 2003. The Owls are 2-1 vs. North Texas and won the last contest 69-65 in 2007. The Beavers and the Owls have not met on the hardwood.

Rice sports a 4-3 mark but will be without the services of nation's number one rebounder in Jessica Kuster. Kuster is averaging 13.1 rpg and has an injury to her left foot which will sideline her for the Gene Hackerman Invitational. She is also averaging 19.9 ppg, which ranks 29th in the nation. Senior Brianna Hypolite is Rice's next highest scorer at 9.5 ppg and freshman Christal Porter is the squad's second-leading rebounder at 7.6, ranking 13th in Conference USA.
