Kuster Signs Professional Deal In Romania

HOUSTON, Texas – Rice basketball all-time leading scorer and recent graduate Jessica Kuster has signed a contract with CSU Alba Iulia (Romania).
Kuster left Rice as the C-USA all-time leader in career double-doubles (67) and was the only player in league history to be named to both the C-USA First-Team and All-Defensive Team in each of her four seasons.
Kuster broke the Owls single-season scoring record in 2013-14 with 628 points, as well as the single-season rebounds mark with 400. She averaged a career-best 20.9 points and 13.3 rebounds while also playing a career-high 1,133 minutes (37.8 mpg) en route to being named an Associated Press All-American Honorable Mention.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Kuster finished her Rice career with 2,081 points to become the all-time leading scorer in either men or women’s basketball. She became the quickest player to ever reach 1,000 points and left holding the records for most made field goals (745) and career made free throws (550).
