2016 Play 4Kay Information
HOUSTON - The Rice Owls women's basketball team hosts its annual Play 4Kay pink game this Thursday, Feb. 11 versus Charlotte with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. There will be a silent auction in the lobby of Tudor Fieldhouse with sports memorabilia and all proceeds from the auction will benefit the Play 4Kay foundation.
Pink pom poms will be given away to the first 300 people at the door and there will be an in-game recognition of breast cancer awareness groups and breast cancer survivors. In addition, the Owls will be wearing pink warmups in support of the Play 4Kay Foundation.
The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research and related projects, assisting the undeserved and unifying people for a common cause. To date, the Fund has contributed $5.18 million in support of women's cancer research.
