The Rice women's basketball team hosts Tulane on Thursday, January 12. Game time is set for 7 p.m. inside Tudor Fieldhouse. The Owls then play at Tulsa on Sunday (Jan. 15) at 2 p.m.

Rice Head Coach Greg Williams
Greg Williams (Rice, 1970) is now in his seventh season as the head coach of his alma mater. Williams has a 96-108 record at Rice and an 18-year career mark of 297-247.

Quick Look at the Owls
Rice evened its C-USA record to 1-1 with 56-54 win over SMU as the Owls scored the last eight points of the game.

Sophomore Jessica Kuster is the only C-USA player averaging a double-double at 17.8 ppg and 12.4 rpg (nation's leader). Senior Brianna Hypolite is averaging 11.7 ppg and freshman Christal Porter is at 6.0 rpg. Senior guard D'Frantz Smart has 492 career assists and is Rice's all-time assist leader, moving pass Kim Lawson's (1999-2003) total of 475 to hold the school record.

Vs. Tulane
Rice won at Tulane 74-70 in overtime as Morgan Mayse tallied 21 points, but the Green Wave won in Houston, 82-77. Jessica Kuster led Rice with 23 points in that contest. Tulane now leads the series 13-11.

Quick Look at Tulane
The Green Wave lost a close game at Memphis 61-59, but bounced back to defeat UCF 64-52 last Sunday (Jan. 8) to even their C-USA record to 1-1. Olivia Grayson leads Tulane in scoring at 14.1 ppg, while Brett Benzio (9.2 ppg) and freshman Danielle Blagg (8.9 ppg) follow. Benzio also leads the squad in rebounding at 9.8 rpg.
