Head coach Tina Langley hired Scott Ziplow as the Video Coordinator in the summer of 2016.
Ziplow spent the 2015-16 season serving as a video intern at the University of Maryland for the women's basketball team while also working with the WNBA's Washington Mystics as an analytics assistant.
"Scott joins our staff after having spent the last two years working with the University of Maryland women's basketball program," Rice head women's basketball coach Tina Langley said. "Everyone knows how much love and respect I have for Brenda Frese, so I am thrilled to have another person on our staff who has spent several years learning from such an amazing person and coach."
"One of our core values is passion, and Scott demonstrated that in how he began his coaching career," said Langley. "While he took an uncommon path to women's basketball by beginning his professional life in the business world, it was his passion for basketball that drove him to learn more about the sport as he developed an interest in video and analytics. We are very excited for what he will bring to our program."
Ziplow graduated from the University of Maryland in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
