| Ashley Armstrong
Former collegiate basketball player Ashley Armstrong is in her second season as Rice's director of operations. Armstrong comes to South Main after spending the past year as an accountant for Ernst & Young LLP in Columbus, Ohio.
Armstrong was a standout guard for the Dayton Flyers from 2005 to 2008. She appeared in 120 games and made 47 starts. During the 2007 season, Armstrong was inserted in the starting lineup and the Flyers proceeded to win a school-record 16 consecutive games. Her freshman season (2005) was also Greg Williams' last season as a Dayton assistant prior to arriving at Rice.
From Canton, Ohio, Armstrong was a two-time All-Ohio Division II First-Team selection for West Branch High School. During her senior season (2004) she helped lead West Branch to the state title by averaging 14.1 points per game. Armstrong holds the school's single-game assist record (15) and the single-season assist record (185). A class valedictorian, she maintained a 4.0 grade point average and was a six-time winner of the Northeastern Buckeye Conference scholar-athlete award.
Armstrong graduated with an MBA degree in accounting from the University of Dayton in 2009. She is also a certified public accountant.
