Pre-Game Tailgate and Expanded Roost Highlight 2013 Spring Game
Gates open at 5:30; Kickoff set for 7 p.m.

Rice fans will celebrate the end of spring practice in style as the Owls will host a free tailgate and a variety of other game day activities as part of the 2013 Blue-Gray Game on April 5.
Admission to the game is free and all fans in attendance will receive a voucher for hotdog or hamburger, chips and a drink from The Roost, which will move from the upper east concourse to teh west side main concourse for the game. The Roost will have its full menu available in this new location on the main concourse for the Spring Game.
Football lettermen will be able to take in the spring game from teh sidelines while all Rice Letterwinners are encouraged to stop by the R Association Office on the South Concourse to meet the new Executive Director Jimmy Comerota and update their information. Football Lettermen can pick up their sideline passes for the game at this same location.
Gates to the stadium open at 5:30 and fans can enjoy an area with live music, inflatable games and other sponsor-related activities before the game.
The Blue team will the Owls' offensive players, while the defense will represent the Gray. In addition to touchdowns and field goals, points are awarded for explosive plays, while the defenders gain points for sacks, tackes for loss, three and outs, and holding the offense scoreless inside the red zone.
During the game, fans will be kept up to date with live interviews from the sidelines with head coach David Bailiff, guest coaches and past Letterwinners which will be shown on the video board during breaks in the action.
Postgame, all fans are encouraged to stay for an autograph session with all the members of the 2013 squad.
The 2013 Blue-Gray game kicks off a busy weekend of activities to close out the Owls' 2013 Spring Football schedule. The annual Letterman's Golf Tournament will be held Saturday at Wildcat Golf Club and the annual Rice Football Awards Banquet will be held Sunday afternoon.
