Three Rice athletes were named to the C-USA Men's Cross Country All-Academic team. Matt Carey, Gabe Cuadra and Wyatt Doop were honored by the league.

Senior Matt Carey made his fourth All-Academic appearance, earning the nod with a 4.24 GPA in Economics (pre-med). He finished in 35th in the NCAA South Central Regional.

Senior Gabe Cuadra was selected to the All-Academic Team for the fourth time. The senior holds a 3.74 GPA in Mathematical Economic Analysis. He earned All-Region and Second Team All-C-USA Honors in 2012.

Junior Wyatt Doop was named to the All-Academic Team for the first time, posting a 3.79 GPA in Chemical and Bio Molecular Engineering. Doop finished in 36th place in the C-USA Championships, helping the Owls finish third.
