The Mechanicsville, VA native remains fourth in the nation in the pole vault but crept closer to third (5.70m) in the process.
Pillow beat his previous career-best mark of 5.56m established at the Virginia Tech Challenge. On Thursday Pillow earned his second straight C-USA Indoor Championships pole vault title.
Next up for Pillow will be the NCAA Indoor Championships, which will be held March 13-14 in Fayetteville, AR.
