Firth Sets Lifetime Best at Mt. SAC Relays

WALNUT, Calif. - Junior distance runner Will Firth set a lifetime best in the 10,000 meter run Thursday evening at the Mt. SAC Relays with a time of 30:20.83 to place 17th out of 41 runners. 

Firth bested his previous best time of 31:39.38 set last season at the Texas Relays and moved into the top 100 in the nation in the event this year.

Senior John Cavallo joined Firth in the 10,000m run and placed 34th with a time of 30:54.28. Later in the evening freshman Adam Davidson ran a 30:59.88 in the 10,000m in a different heat to place 13th.

Junior Zach Watterson was the lone Owls representative on day one at the Kansas Relays, setting a lifetime best with a 21st place finish (1:56.84) in the 800 meters.

The rest of the Owls will take part in the Kansas Relays all day tomorrow and Saturday.
