Owls at Day Two of Texas Relays
Action Continues on Friday and Concludes on Saturday

Austin - The Owls men's track and field squad competed at the 85th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Thursday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
In the decathlon, junior Clayton Chaney placed 15th with 6,493 points. Rice's 4x800m quartet ran 14th with a time of 7:40.93. Travis Roberts, in the 1500m B section, posted a ninth-place time of 4:04.01 and Lee Johnson went 56.38 in the 400m hurdles prelim.
"We have had much better days on the track than today," commented Jon Warren, Rice's head coach. "Only a few days ago we looked awesome. Today, Dan Sloat ran a really good leg on the 4x800m relay of 1:51, everyone else was a little flat."
The Texas Relays continue on Friday and conclude on Saturday.
